Donations & Giving

FNDmattersNI is a non-profit charity. We are recipients of the Big Lottery ‘ Awards for all’ for our ‘ Fly Free From Stigma’ project. This award is to raise awareness of FND and encourage inclusion, by organising FND community support services for those in Northern Ireland.

Get Involved

There are so many ways to get involved with FNDMattersNI, from raising awareness through events and activities to donating money or offering your support to the community. However you’d like to help, we’d like to hear from you

Why not join our Facebook Peer Support Group, being part of a large community can be extremely beneficial, knowing what other people go through with FND, can help with acceptance and understanding.

At FNDMattersNI, we are always looking for volunteers to help us organise awareness events, campaign for better services or generally raise awareness in Northern Ireland.

You could also get involved in your local NHS. There are many ways you can do this. There are five trusts in Northern Ireland, and each trust is involved in having the service users voice heard. This initiative is called Personal and Public involvement (PPI) it is patients and carers having their say regarding care, treatment and services.

And professionals you can get involved too, by supporting your patient/ client and learning about their condition.

Why not become a member of the Functional Neurological Disorder Society. This site is for professionals working with Functional Neurological Disorders.

Maybe you want to raise awareness with your GP or other health professionals, then contact us and have your name placed on our mailing list and we will send you the latest information leaflets.

The biggest thing that we all can do, is talk about this, very little known, condition.

Raise Funds

If you’d like to run an event to raise funds for FND, we’d LOVE to hear from you. Anything from selling arts and crafts to hosting lunchtime fundraisers to fun runs and anything in between. Your imagination and passion are the only limitations. Talk to us and let us help you help us.

Volunteer

A lot of work goes into running FNDMattersNI and we’d appreciate the help. From helping facilitate the drop-in sessions to creating posters, blog articles and spreading awareness. Many hands make light work. If you’d like to lend your hands (and hearts and brains) we want to hear from you.
